When a tabloid news show, Crime Watch, identifies a college girl's new neighbor as a suspected serial killer known as the Tourist, she finds herself sucked into the media vortex where truth, identity and morality take a back seat to ratings.

In “The Tourist” writer Daniel Pyne (“Manchurian Candidate,” “Sum of All Fears,” “White Sands”) takes aim at the insatiable cultural propensity for the story du jour and astutely shows the oft-ignored consequences. This will mark Mr. Pyne's long anticipated feature film directorial debut.
